Josh's surgery

 Livin the dream at OHSU
Happy as a Smurf in Pokka dotted pants!

2 servings of salmon, roasted potato's, caesar salad & cheese cake!

Josh has been officially diagnosed with HHT. We are grateful to have found the abnormal growth in his lung before it was too late. When the doctors went in to work on Josh they found an abnormal growth in his lung the size of a grape. This abnormal growth would have allowed blood clots or bacteria to easily travel to Josh's heart or brain. The vessel that had the growth has been sealed up and is no longer a danger to Josh's health. He spent 3 days of recovery in bed playing video games and sleeping the day away. Thankful to still have him around and back to his old normal self (I think) :)

  1. I'm sure glad Josh had this taken care of! It seems to be that everyone with HHT in the family, thus far, has had the same pulmonary AVM issues. My brother Joe was the first one to make contact with OHSU in 1998 to get his repaired. Before he passed away he was urging others (including me) to do the same. Praise The Lord the procedure has come a long way in recent years. Back in the 1950's my dad was diagnosed with an AVM during a military physical and consequently had to have a large portion of one of his lungs removed. That's all they could do back then for it!
